Matt Wright, a Canadian stand-up comedian, writer, and actor, has been twice nominated for the JUNO Awards without a win. He has graced the stage at televised galas for Just For Laughs, CBC, and CTV and portrayed The Weatherman in the second season of “Son of a Critch.” In 2023, he had the honor of opening for Jerry Seinfeld at the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival.
He has contributed as a writer for six seasons of “This Hour Has 22 Minutes,” earning a nomination for a Canadian Screen Award, and has also written two episodes of “Still Standing.” As a filmmaker, his short film “Snowstorm Roulette” received a nomination for Best International Short at the Austin Comedy Festival.
