Companies that want to reach beyond the average could use a keynote address from three-time Super Bowl champion Darren Woodson.
Woodson, recognized as one of the greatest players to dress out in a Dallas Cowboys uniform, is also a five-time Pro Bowl selection. He retired in 2004 as the team’s All-time Leading Tackler with 1,350 career stops. Darren registered career totals of 11 sacks and 23 interceptions.
Yet, what defined him throughout his NFL career was his dependability, aggressiveness, and athleticism that assisted the team to securing three Super Bowl Championships.
Darren was inducted into the Cowboys’ “Ring of Honor” in 2015 and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 2017. He previously was named to the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.
His post-retirement career was as an NFL analyst on ESPN. He also was on NFL Live and SportsCenter as well as joining the network’s coverage of the Super Bowl, the NFL Draft and the training camp specials. He retired from those pursuits in 2019 to focus on his signature presentation Creating Cultures of Excellence.
The idea is to understand how culture affects outcomes and understanding how cultural differences can produce either mediocre or winning teams in both sports and business.
