David Pryde, a comic from Montreal, is described as a “cerebral” comedian. He doesn’t know what that means but it’s worked for him since he won second prize in a Halifax stand-up competition. He started doing comedy and won the Just for Laughs Comedy Night in Canada Competition in 1999.

Since then, David has performed all over the world including Australia, USA, and the UK. He’s been to galas at the Just for Laughs, Winnipeg, and Halifax Comedy Festival and had a special on CTV’s Comedy Now!

David has been on both radio and television with appearances on CBC’s The Debaters and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He has been nominated for three Canadian Comedy Awards that includes twice for Best Male Stand-Up.

David’s pet peeves are organized bowling, organized religion, and organized crime and he works that into his act. His act works well with private and corporate events, fundraisers, festivals, Casio events, conventions, and trade shows.
