Experience of Jim Ralph

Jim Ralph, a former minor league goaltender and broadcaster, has created a career in comedy with a dry, self-deprecating humour. He is also recognized for impersonations of well-known Canadian sportscasters that leave attendees laughing.

Some of those he mimics include Danny Gallivan, Foster Hewitt, Bob Cole, Dick Irvin, Brian Willians and Don Cherry.

Jim retired from hockey in 1989 and went into broadcasting co-hosting a weekly half-hour hockey show called Rinkside that aired on TSN. He was a reporter for Global Television’s Sportsline and co-hosted Molson Leaf Hockey on Global Television Network. He was colour commentator for the Toronto Maple Leafs on radio. Now, Jim is a popular speaker at corporate events, sportsman dinners, and charity functions.

He worked the Conn Smythe Celebrity Sport Dinner in Toronto, Wayne Gretzky’s slow pitch baseball tournament in Brantford, the annual meet-the-Leafs luncheon, and the National Hockey League Golf Tournament, among many other events.

Jim’s style works well for sales and marketing meetings and after-dinner presentations. He works well as an emcee with his one-liners and impersonations.

Works Well in this Type of Event: Special Events, Corporate Events, Private Events, Charity Events, Golf Tournaments, Celebrity Speaking Events, Sports Events, Conventions, and Trade Shows.
