Maynard Morrison is known for character comedy and was a favourite of the Halifax Comedy Festival for more than a decade. A former Sydney Academy fine arts teacher, Maynard is also a founding member of the Rise and Follies of Cape Breton Island and Cape Breton Summertime Revue.
He was part of group The Fabulous Door knowns in concert and on festival stages across Canada and has shared stages with Sylvia Tyson, Rita MacNeil, and the Rankin Family. He is a popular event emcee with a talent for ad lib. He and his wife, Bette MacDonald, have started in Tis The Season, a live hit comedy show about Christmas for the past nine years.
He has a down-east view of life that critics call “absolutely brilliant” and that leave people howling with laughter.
