Pete Zedlacher Experience
Pete Zedlacher is a 20-year veteran of the comedy scene and his versatility as a comedian, actor, and writer has made him a premiere headliner in the country. Pete, originally from Wawa, a small mining town in Northern Ontario, uses his Canadian working-class roots as a backdrop for his presentations.
Pete is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, which helped him mix acting into his stand-up. Pete, based in Calgary, has a Canadian Comedy Award, four Canadian Comedy award nominations, and two Gemini nominations. He also won the international comedy competition and was named Sirius XM’s Top Comic.
His best-known appearances are at Just for Laughs in Montreal performing galas among legends like Whoopi Goldberg, Sir Patrick Steward, and Jason Alexander. He was also in The Snowed in Comedy Tour, which tours soft seat theatres in winter and spring. He is also a regular with more than 20 debates on CBC’s Radio’s The Debaters.
Pete has a comedy album, Comic King, heard regularly on Sirius XM’s Laugh Attack and is available on Apple iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, and other streaming sites. He is a working television writer and actor, working on four seasons of the Ron James Show (CBC) and two seasons of Still Standing (CBC) among many other projects.
The aspect of his career that Pete is most proud of is his “tours of duty” entertaining the Canadian Forces serving overseas, performing for troops in England, Egypt, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Holland, Germany, Greece, the Person Gulf, the Arctic Circle and three tours in Afghanistan.
